Bicycle services

  • Covered bike stands in relation to OMP’s technical services
  • Bicycle repairs multiple times a year
  • Provision of tools to repair bicycles in a secured covered bike stand
  • Provision of service bicycle for OMP’s agents: 2 foldable bikes

Awareness actions and activities

  • Email diffusion list for OMP’s cyclists: information share, good practice, incidents signalling…
  • Form aimed at drawing up a list of bicycle’s thefts to try to understand the operational mode, locations, and times thieves opt for…
  • Cyclist/pedestrian breakfasts
  • Allons y à vélo (AYAV)

There have been many cyclists at the OMP for a long time. This was evident during participation in the Allons y à Vélo challenge organised by the 2 Pieds 2 Roues association, which takes place every winter and spring. The OMP participates in the +500 Employees category every year and always comes first.

All the challenges’ results can be found here: https://www.ayav.fr/ayavtaf/

The Belin Campus: a biodiversity sanctuary

In response to the CNRS’s 2024 call for initiatives for the ecological transition, the DR14 created and directed a programme to protect and promote biodiversity in partnership with the OMP and the LAAS. The project was awarded funding and is now producing its first results.

The Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (birds protection league) was asked to help with this site process in favour of the biodiversity. Some ecologists from the association made fauna and flora inventories in order to identify the common or remarkable species that can be found on the campus (birds, insects, flowers).

Those inventories, with the analysis of the site’s management (especially management of green space specifications), led to a diagnosis and action recommendations to improve the reception of the biodiversity on the campus.

Review on the 24th March action

A participatory action took place on the 24th of March from 13h to 15h, in the presence of three animators of the LPO, and about 20 persons from the OMP, the DR14, and the LAAS.

The aim was to install hedgehog highways in the fences of the site, craft and set up insect shelters (for bees, bumblebees, ladybugs…) and also to secure the hollow pillars (in which the birds could be trapped).

Responsible digital technology at the OMP

In a context of ecological transition and with the OMP’s main digital plan, we offer several quizzes throughout the year in order to raise awareness of the environmental impact of digital technologies.

We also offer stickers, which you can put on your computer. Every number represents a ‘life’ year of your computer. That means the longer you keep your computer, the more stickers you can collect.

If you are interested in having some, you can ask Angèle MOUINIE.
