Dear all
Spring is coming and, meanwhile, yesterday SMOS surpassed ERS-2 as the longest operational ESA EO satellite in orbit (not counting Proba-1).
This is a great achievement! Long life to SMOS and many thanks to all the teams at ESA and CNES making sure our SMOS remains in good health and keeps on delivering outstanding science results!
SMOS got through the mission extension review and is now on track for at least until 2028 and we expect still more breakthroughs!
Stay tuned…
